I really enjoyed this topic like “Kami-Kai（神回）” !
I think it’s true that most of Japanese people don’t know or even are not interested in knowing their roots.
I recently came back to Japan from LA after two year overseas working program and during my stay in the US I found most American people have their own roots and they really embrace it.
Also, like Austin said they’re really good at critical thinking and that’s the great takeaway for me.
